St. Anthony Catholic Church in Norton, VA is a parish located in the Heart of the Appalachian Mountains. Part of Region 10 of Richmond Diocese. St. Anthony's is part of the Trinity Cluster of Southwest Virginia that includes Holy Spirit, Jonesville, Sacred Heart, Big Stone Gap, St. Joseph, Clintwood, and Knights of Columbus Glenmary Council 7853. The altar in St. Anthony's Catholic Church was forged out of a single block of coal. The building committee wanted the heart of the altar to be a representation of the counties primary resource and the communities largest industry. Many people including our Catholic immigrant miners gave their very lives to the mining industry.

Each window in the St. Anthony's represents a different element of the community or the church. The windows were the inspiration of the building committee and Fr. Robert Bond, the last Glenmary Mission Priest to serve our parish. The Glenmary Brothers in Cincinnati, Ohio made these one-of-a-kind, uniquely, beautiful windows.
